William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowship at The Kennedy Center
In its tenth year, the William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowship at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts provides recent UNCSA graduates of the Schools of Drama and Design and Production with a wide variety of experiences with the professional theater world to bridge their academic training.  Master classes are arranged with professional artists from the Washington, D.C. theater community and from productions touring and presenting at The Kennedy Center.  Kenan Fellows are also placed with professional theater companies across the country.

William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowship at Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts in Education
In its ninth year, the William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowship at Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts in Education in New York provides recent UNCSA graduates of the Schools of Dance, Drama and Music with knowledge of aesthetic education to prepare them for work as artists in the field of arts and education.  Each Kenan Fellow is assigned to work with a Lincoln Center Institute Teaching Artist who guides them in their work, in networking, and with the culminating experience of creating a new artistic production.

William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowship at Penland School of Crafts
In its fifth year, the William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowship at Penland School of Crafts in Western North Carolina is a collaborative program for recent high school graduates of the UNCSA Visual Arts Program.  The goals of the Kenan Fellowship are to promote life-long learning, stimulate experimentation and skill development, to extend student and artist career development opportunities through Penland’s network of peer professionals, and to share in Penland’s model educational learning environment.
